Elmo
(Redline's Tickle Me Elmo QAA MH)
Elmo is owned by Jan and Peggy Anderson of West Chicago, IL, and he's their very first MH. (They've been involved in the field trial game for some time.) Jan and Peggy often laugh and call Elmo their Golden in a black coat. When he was born, his mother almost died because of pyometria and wound up having an emergency spay. At the same time, the Andersons whelped a 3-pup Golden litter. So, lucky for them, the pups had a surrogate mother for a while. What is truly amazing is that almost a year later, Elmo saw his Golden mom and immediately recognized her. He ran up to her, threw himself on the ground under her and tried to nurse. She curled her body around him and licked him thoroughly, allowing him to nuzzle!
At any rate, Elmo was a very quiet little guy, very handsome, who sat back in the whelping box. No one wanted him. So, Peggy and Jan soon realized they had a new pup in the house. Peggy did all the basics on Elmo and got him Qualified All-Age at 2. A couple of months later Elmo got a 4th in the Amateur. He went on to garner more all-age points and JAM's in both the Amateur and Open stakes.
Peggy was very concerned about the pressure he had been exposed to and thought hunt tests might just be the ticket to get her happy boy back again. She then approached John about running Mo in the Master Hunter tests. It has proven to be a winning combination! Elmo has passed six straight Master Hunter tests and became an MH and qualified for the 2003 Master National at the Fox Valley RC Hunt Test on May 10-11, 2003.
Anyone who sees Elmo and John on the line know they are seeing a powerhouse duo - John's expertise and experience - and Elmo's fantastic drive, marking ability and willingness to turn himself over for blinds. And the ride's not over...

Spice
(Wyndchime's Spice Girl QAA MH)
Spice is my first field trial winner. She won the Qualifying stake at the Manitowoc Country Field Trial in August of 2003 against some very talented dogs. On the way to her win, she marked exceptionally well and lined the blinds. She came on strong in 2003 and has matured into a talented and very capable dog.
Spice has a wonderful temperament. She lives in the house with my other two Golden Retriever males and they are easy to keep together. None of them need to be kenneled separately and that is a very important consideration if you have multiple dogs. Spice can be willful at times and to complement her I selected Elmo as the sire for her first litter. He is a talented and very biddable dog and should complement Spice very well.
We expect these pups to be excellent marking dogs, structurally sound, and to have correct temperaments. Prior to going home, the pups will be well socialized, and introduced to water and birds. Vaccinations will be current, eyes will be checked, and dewclaws removed. I am keeping a pup from this litter for myself and I hope to see the other pups and their owners at hunt tests and field trials in the future.
Preference will be given to working homes. Deposits will be required to reserve a puppy. If you have any questions regarding this litter please contact us.
